Abstract: [+]
Community trash fill up quicker than ever and eventually many of the containers end up overflowing before recycling, causing not only cluttered roads and unpleasant odors, but also negative impacts on health and the environment. Smart garbage collection is a method for trash accumulation that expects to streamline squander accumulation and at last diminishes fuel utilization. At the point when the canisters are set at a specific position a cell phone is required to distinguish its specific scope and longitude just once. This lessens the expense of the general framework as GPS (Global Positioning System) won’t be required at that point. There are various sensors inside the canister and one of them is an ultrasonic sensor that will shoot sonar waves to realize how much stuff is inside the container. Additionally, the temperature sensors will quantify the temperature inside the refuse canister. Information gathered from the sensors are sent over a cell organize for examination and the information is displayed on Ubidots web stage for clients. Ubidots is a cloud administration to detect and control hardware in real time. A rundown of canisters to be gathered would then be able to be sent to drivers to design a specific course. There will likewise be continuoustracking of the urban body’s garbage vehicles utilizing RFID(Radio Frequency Identification). The vehicle proprietor needs to streak his RFID card with the goal that who and when and at what time the trash container was emptied will be known.

Sanaa A. Sharaf
Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia.
Abstract: [+]
Heterogeneous systems are used to carry out comprehensive computational calculations and consist of a variety of system facilities which may be local to the network or geographically dispersed. How efficiently these heterogeneous systems can perform simultaneous tasks is reliant on which processes are used to schedule the tasks in all relevant applications. Reducing the required time for execution of these tasks within the heterogeneous systems and considering the complexities and challenges which may occur through task-scheduling require detailed assessment. Diversity of communication rate due to the use of multiple processors and speeds at the homogenous systems creates a big challenge that is needed to overcome. Therefore, this paper will examine scheduling algorithms that have recently been used in heterogeneous architectures to discover what areas are missing in this field of research.

Abstract: [+]
Brittle behavior of concrete restrains its use in pavement construction and seismic applications despite the fact that it is economical and offers numerous advantages as far as mechanical properties are concerned. Such applications essentially require a material demonstrating flexible behavior. Repeated application of compressive loads, of dynamic nature, on pavements often result in cracking as well as shrinkage in plain cement concrete (PCC). Synthetic fiber application in concrete mix reduces problem of cracking in plain concrete. Addition of waste synthetic fibers obtained from used plastic bottles has been discussed in this paper which not only solves problem disposal of solid waste but also application of such synthetic fiber improves compressive strength of a paving grade concrete mix. Specimen cubes of concrete containing fiber volume content of 5%, 10% and 15% as well as with no fiber content was casted. Fibrillated and discrete synthetic fiberswere used in the present study. Standard procedures of testing of concrete mixes were used to determine mechanical properties of specimen and on account of the current work, a noteworthy decline in drying contraction and settlement was detected in concrete mixes reinforced with fiber without substantial variation in compressive strength. Use of synthetic fiber was found not only an economic way to improve pavement strength but also suggested an environmental friendly solution to problem of solid waste disposal in urban settlements.

Abstract: [+]
In present day, Conversational Modelling is one of the foremost fields in Natural Language Processing. This can be attributed to the availability of better hardware and competent software. The processing capacity available has grown exponentially in the last decade. This has contributed to the creation of better chatbots through the years. More effort is required to build a model of this kind. The lack of open source chatbots that can be readily incorporated into specific fields is a concern. Parallel technologies have open-source alternatives for various possibilities. It is important for the field to have similar resources. So, that future effort can be directed towards better performance and mechanisms. We focused on creating a chatbot using a combination of rule-based approaches and neural networks in Green cloud. This helped us to create a chatbot that can also improve with time. It helped to reduce latencies involved in standard approaches, and also helps in quick classification of queries. This work also analysed the possibility of creating open-domain responsegenerators of open-world nature. A successful model of this kind will help in further development of chatbots with specialized features and better responses.

Abstract: [+]
This paper proposes a technique known as data auditing method which can be used to protect the data which is stored in the cloud from being tampered with, to allow the user to make updates and also to trace and recover corrupted files. It uses a third party auditor (TPA) to constantly monitor the stored files and intimate the user about any changes made to the file or about file crashes. The cloud service provider cannot betrustedalways.Soitraisesachallengetotheintegrityofthedatastoredinthecloud.Inproposed data auditing method, certain unique properties of the file are used to detect any changes made to the data in the cloud. The file is secured by encryption. Further the encrypted file is split into chunks of files into a structure called the Merkle hash tree structure and each chunk of file is stored in a different server. Authentication of the user is done by the CSP by exchange of messages using a secret group key. The proposed method also allows the user to make updates to the stored data. The update may be either static or dynamic in nature. Further the proposed method helps to recover the crashed files automatically. A third party auditor monitors the file crashes and intimates the same to the user. Using the concept of erasure code the crashed file is recovered from the replicaserver.

Abstract: [+]
Efficient node mobility prediction and neighbor discovery in mobile adhoc networks (MANET) is essential to a number of applications including safe communication of data packets. Predicting the mobility of the node accurately in a high dynamic scenario is a most challenging task. The proposed prediction model for estimating the mobility of nodes based on theory of kalman filter. Each node in the network has a mobility prediction model and uses it to predict its location and the location of its neighboring nodes. Node mobility can be predicted based on the nodes’ temporal and spatial movement features. The proposed method follows a reinforcement learning approach by which the prediction model parameters are updated with respect to the error in prediction. This approach increases the overall the accuracy of the prediction. A threshold is fixed to trigger the hello message broadcast through which the neighboring nodes can be discovered. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated by estimating the accuracy, robustness, and efficiency through extensive simulations. When compared with the simulation results of other protocols such as Adhoc On demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Destination Sequence Distance Vector (DSDV). The proposed algorithm requires less hello message broadcast overhead and gives less error rate while discovering the neighboring nodes. In overall, proposed approach performs better when compared to other two protocols considered.

Abstract: [+]
In this paper, an efficient approach for the classification of brain disorder named epileptic seizure identified using different techniques is proposed. Recently, Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system is developed to diagnose various abnormalities in the medical field at the earliest with better accuracy. A CAD system for epileptic seizure diagnosis is developed using Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals based on Dual Tree M Band Wavelet Transform (DTMBWT) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier. Another method of detection of EEG signals are extracted using EWT and then features from the different modes are extracted. Then, classification is done by a typical machine learning technique, Support Vector Machine (SVM). Based on the information, epileptic seizure can also be easily identified using, Translation Invariant Wavelet Transform (TIWT) based EEG signal classification is presented. DTMBWT provides more selective in the frequency domain than their dyadic wavelet transform. From the experimental results, it is observed that the proposed system is feasible for EEG signal classification as it provides high degree of sensitivity for environmental consciousness.
